About Me
My name is Michael Dang, also known as Oroki オロキ. My moniker is a portmanteau of Orochi オロチ (Great Snake) and Ki キ (Air).
Oroki Productions was established to cultivate engaging story telling through circus arts. I bring signature aerial variety and burlesque acts from coast to coast having performed in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Cincinnati. Aside from individual pieces, we have created local productions such as Alice in Shadowland and the Annual Georgetown Haunted History Tour
I am an aerial performer primarily disciplined in Straps and Rope, with experience in Partner Acrobatics and Cyr Wheel. Locally in Seattle, WA, I instruct regularly at Emerald City Trapeze Arts and the School of Acrobatic and New Circus Arts. With a background in hip hop choreography and climbing both indoors and out, I sought circus as a creative outlet to combine my artistry and strength. I established my foundation at Emerald City Trapeze Arts, enrolled in multiple internships at École de cirque de Québec, completed the straps teacher training under Deon Fox, attend regular workshops under Aaron Koz, and hace taken one off events like the Rope Immersion intensive with Nick Ng at NECCA.
